Psyche correspondence to the human soul. Psyche is placed by the Gods on an island, as she has been granted in marriage. Psyche does not know to whom she was married and fears that he is a monster. For this reason, Psyche clings to a rock disconsolate and begins to cry. But Psyche was given in marriage to Eros or Cupid, the God of love.
Derived from the same story comes the tragedy: Eros asks Psyche not to open her eyes to contemplate him. Psyche wants to see her lover and does not keep the promise. Tragedy breaks out.
