By 1994, NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement between Canada, the United States, and Mexico) became a hot topic. Nevertheless, it caused many controversies as well. In that year, inspired by this agreement, I decided to represent NAFTA in a sculpture consisting of a ladder where two male figures hold the ladder, while a third male figure climbs the ladder. The idea was still congruent with solidarity, teamwork, and with the hot topics at that time.
This sculpture has participated in various national sculpture contests and exhibitions in Mexico City since then.
