DAVID LOOKING AT GOLIATH

Entirely well known is the biblical story, where the young David goes out to face the giant and invincible Goliath.

In my representation, David squats down and drops one knee to pick up a stone. He is holding the stone in one hand, and in the other, he has the sling ready to be armed. Being calm and sure of himself, since God is with him, he looks askance at the Philistine hero Goliath.
